Capacity building for magistrates on the CIMA code: The Committee of Insurance Companies of Mali at work

The Committee of Insurance Companies of Mali (CCAM) organized a capacity building workshop for magistrates on the CIMA code.

This workshop, which took place on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Azalaï Hotel in Bamako, brought together around thirty participants from different jurisdictions in the country.

The objective of this workshop was to enable magistrates to better understand the provisions of the CIMA code, which governs the insurance sector in the CIMA zone (Inter-African Conference on Insurance Markets).

Participants were able to follow presentations on various aspects of the code, including insurance contracts, insurers' civil liability, claims management and insurance litigation.

This workshop was praised by the participants, who emphasized its importance for their professional practice. They also appreciated the quality of the presentations and the pedagogy of the speakers.

The CCAM, the professional organization of Malian insurance companies, is committed to regularly conducting training and awareness-raising activities for the benefit of various stakeholders in the insurance sector. These activities aim to contribute to strengthening the professionalization of the sector and protecting the rights of insurance consumers.

In conclusion, the capacity-building workshop for magistrates on the CIMA Code was a complete success. This workshop enabled participants to better understand the provisions of the CIMA Code and to strengthen their skills in the field of insurance.
